I see Active Sky X has been released. Never really contemplated purchasing such an add-on before but from what I can gather from folks over at Horizon's forum, they are singing it's praises.
I must be honest, when I saw the screenies I thought it looked not to dissimilar to FSX default! But perhaps I'm wrong.
Anyone got it yet? At nearly £30 it must have some special features.
I suffer from paranoid amnesia. I can't remember who I don't trust.
I bought Active Sky 6.5 for FS9 last weekend, and though I haven't fully got to grips with it yet, I'm getting some wonderful cloud-scapes out of it, along with the real-world weather data of course. So far, I am very happy indeed with it.
Not sure about how AS X will improve FSX, but AS 6.5 was well worth the price.
To me ASX is worth the price just for the ability to create with some fidelity hurricanes in FSX. Not only that, but the XM-Weather style weather gauge looks quite nice as well, much better than the old ASRadar gauge that wasn't really a radar gauge and wasn't always "truthful" on what was outside the cockpit.
Eddie, don't hesitate just do it. I held back for an age and now I really regret it. It's brilliant. Using real weather the scapes are amazing. Flying from Man to IOM as I do proves very interesting, especially with real weather on the island.
Go and buy it.
Onwards and Upwards!!!!!!!!
Jetty!
If God had of meant us to fly, he would have given us wings! He did, it's called an aeroplane!
