FS9 Real Weather Download...

Post by petermcleland »

My real weather download in FS9 is suddenly broken...It downloads the weather fine from Jeppeson but then when it tries to load it into FS9, it crashes with "Message to Microsoft"...Can anyone confirm that this is so, before I resort to "System Restore"...It could be explained by a Weather Parameter being changed in the Jeppeson upload that makes it unacceptable to FS9.

Alternatively, something has broken in my setup since I installed two new aircraft

A few of us have been experiencing issues with real world weather today:

Hi Peter.......just tried it for you and as you say it loads, then pauses then shuts down FS 9.

It was OK until just before you posted ..... for me at least..but not now

Well...one other thing that we have in common probably, is that we all installed that nice Cessna 150 and the Pfalz yesterday...I would really like to hear that someone without those two aeroplanes is having the same weather problem...Thanks Garry for your confirmation...I will hold back on the System Restore

Peter..

I don't have either of those aircraft and have just tried real weather on FS9 and the sim spit out. It's nothing to do with the aircraft and you don't need a system restore

One more reason to convert to FSX ....

FS9 crashes, FSX works the bliss....

I don't have those aircraft either.

TBH Jeppesen has done this a few time recently.

I have just had it happen, for the first time too. I suspect FSX SP1 might be culprit as I have not used this in FS9 since I applied the patch. It could also be the Jeppesen site as well
