On flightsim.com , or whatever the internal code for that is, there's a Leduc O22 of all things! File name is 'leduc.022.zip' (clever disguise, eh?) and it's about 9Mb or so.
The screenies look good, and of course the real thing still exists but I doubt we'll ever find anyone who ever flew it to compare the FDE file with reality........

I did see a real life Leduc 010 in a hangar at L'istres...I even looked right through it from the intake and could see out of the jetpipe...Then the Gendarmes ushered me away

Peter,
Now an 010 would be a real problem to model in FS!
It was air-launched from the back of a SE161 Languedoc and had no 'real' undercarriage to speak of.
I'm impressed you saw a real one, that era of French aviation was as forward looking as we were in Britain, but with a typically French sense of the bizarre. How else could one explain any of the Leduc series, the Trident (also recently released in FS), the Griffon/Gerfaut twins rtc. And the ultimate French tour de force, the Coleoptere!

Yes, I was familiar with its launch method...Also being a Ram Jet Only, it required considerable airspeed before it could fire up and then when the speed reduced below a certain figure it flamed out...All landings were deadstick and the pilot was prone in the intake bullet (not at this stage a transparent bullet but one with little port hole windows left and right and others for up and down...no forward vision). Never the less, it dropped a lot of sonic bangs around the local area :think:kit wrote:Peter,
