Well yeah  ....but this is what you get with a beta so just one of those things..nice to have it.

I'm sure all these things can be substituted.

Perhaps Tuor can point to the file exactly..exact name and take it from there

OK the sound file is rp727_2_400hz and it comes with the Probst panel on avsim called b727.050627.panel.fs2004 . This is from the manual FAQ in this panel version-

Q.I HEAR A CONSTANT TICKING SOUND WHEN POWER IS ON

A.This is the vibrator for the altimeter, and it's completely normal. The vibrator helps prevent the altimeter needles from sticking. This is also the number one complaint that I've received on the last version. It was the first panel I know of to simulate this, and I think people hearing it for the first time were baffled as to what all the racket was.

Hopefully that should take care of it . The FAQ lists the sound file as rp727_2_altimeter.wav which I couldn't find but trial + error found 400hz file.

Incidently Charles Fox released a file called cf727fdsnd1 which contains flight dynamics and sounds for the Cantu/Vistaliner B727-200 with Probst panel in FS2004. Cheers

With a lot of the sound files that come with panels, I find the sound is just too loud for my taste. It maybe realistic, but if it drives me crazy ... or more crazy than I am already :-$ I reduce the volume. I use the freeware program "Audacity" to do this, but I think even the default MS Sound Recorder program will let you reduce volume. It is just not as flexible as Audacity.

Tuor

Good one - I recall this panel driving me nuts with the clicking noise and never figured out to stop it and so Probst's panel never got used by me despite it being rated by many.

Hi all

There is a modified Probst panel included in the package available at the Worlds Serious Pilots. It is the Vistaliners 727-200 in several textures totalizing 220MB!! :green:
It doesn't have that rattling sound!
