The Dragonfly was the first helicopter toy I had as a kid....it would be nice to see a decent one in FS

I had that one too...Dark blue plastic with a gyro operated friction drive on the wheels that rotated the 2-blade rotor at the same time.....must have been the 'Must have' of the period.
Later on I had a BEA Viscount that was very similar but with 4 turning props....very pleased with that one, If I remember it was quite large too (about 12-14" wingspan)
Ahhh...nosatalgia is not what it used to be...
Regards.

Hi Brian I never had a Viscount but I can remember Woolworths selling an unnamed airliner with a transparent removable top and the passengers could be added or moved around.
That was clearly a Viscount.
There was a range of DC 7's I remember in BOAC livery that were tin and the props went around with the friction drive wheels. Pan Am was also sold.
Couldn't afford them

I know the sort. All us local kids would peer in through the windows hoping to catch a glimse of their telephone.Bridon Bear wrote: We had posh neighbours in the old days though....they had a bowl of fruit on the table
