Thanks all for filling me in on the Srs 8. I don't think I've ever seen one before - does anyone know when were they built ?

I belive it was the last and defnitive model of Dove built from 1948 to about 1963 if I recall correctly. There were ideas about making a turbine production version up until about 1967 but by that time the 125 was really making good sales progress and developing the Dove further no longer seemed attractive.

Hi Chris

The RAF Devons were converted to series 8 standard.

There were many of the marque and quite a few of the surviviors are of this type.

If you look around you will see they are not rare.

544 Doves were built from 1945-1967
