FS98 gauges in FSX

Post by TSR2 »

I seem to remeber someone coming up with a way of editing the file so it would work in FSX? I'm Using the BAepanel project 146 panel and its warning me about some FS98 gauge, but I've been through the panel and aircraft cfg files and can't find any reference to them, whats more I can't even find them on my system

Any ideas guys?

Ben, a lot of FS98 gauges which have been modified from another still have the original name embeded in the code.
For example a gauge originally called cessna.gau was modded with a new bitmap and saved as yak.gau. FSx would read the internal name and show that in the error message. Best bet is to load the panel into FS Panel Studio and look at the properties of the gauges that don't show in the sim. You can then substitute the out.

I think Peter mentioned editing the gauge header, but I can't find any hard info on it.
