A question for the painters..............

Post by Trev Clark »

I have a lot of Alphasim British jets, the only real gripe I have is the fact that the pilots are painted in USA style flight gear. I have tried to open the texture .bmp file to see if I have a programme that can do anything to modify it, but no joy. What would I need to repaint one of these files? Or if I supplied the file (several seem the same), could a painter do the adjustments, even an external helmet visor would help!

Tried DTXbmp? That opens most extended bitmaps.
Error 482: Somebody shot the server with a 12 gauge.

I see no reason why it shouldn't be possible, although it might take a bit of trial & error to get it right, due to mapping limitations. I'll have a look at a the Swift, can't do the Vampire as I haven't got it yet.

BTW Trev, did you try opening the bitmap directly? Try using DXTBMP (http://www.mnwright.btinternet.co.uk/pr ... dxtbmp.htm) and working from that.

Trev, Will you be making your modification be available to the masses?
Possibly via classicbritishfiles.com?
