The "Big CHicken" in Marietta is a landmark - BTW the beak opens and closes and the eyes go around and around :) For Years if someone
was giving you directions from Atlanta to Marietta they would include
"Go up 41 till you see the big Chicken and turn left"

BTW Mum Min lives in Marietta not 3 miles from that edifice

I wondered if before long someone would come on and say they knew one of the buildings.

I thought the basket one quite neat with the way the windows are let into the weaving

I've been to "South of the Border!" It's off Interstate 95, just south of the North Carolina/South Carolina state line. When I was a kid, it was just a cheap tourist trap with souvenirs, fireworks, and this huge "Sombrero" observation tower. All of that's still there, but there's been lots more added. been there a few times
heard of the USAR Hooters ProCup Series?
we ran a few tracks up that way
it's been years though ..
.....so I'm sure the trap is bigger :wink:
