Sorry Dave I missed it to. By now the sulking should be over, and hopefully should the hangover headache. Remember your only as old as the women you feel! I felt the same at 30, but Mrs Jetset is 29. That's right boy's, I am married to a woman in her twenties......... Come on!

The good lady had a lovely display case made for my 1:72 Corgi Lancaster.. Pink Flyod and the critics/in their own words off the daughter.. the full series 1 of 'The Saint' off my sister in Spain.. a few other bits and pieces and dosh. I need a new crash helmet and I've a nice new Arai lined up  Oh.. and 2 days in Pompey/Southsea reliving my youth

Now that's a good idea. I have Sqn Ldr Nettletons 44 Squadron aircraft in which he's carried out a low level daylight raid against Augsberg setting off from Waddington.

It looks great on the stand it came with but it's tricky to keep dust free.

Which one Lancaster did you opt for?

Welcome to 50 Dave ( I beat you to it by about 5 months or so ).

Women find men in their fifties very attractive, apparently. Although we don't reload as fast as we used to, we usually hit the target first time !

Anyway, a very Happy Birthday to you, and may there be many more. :partyman:

It must be that 'distinguished' look that does it (or should that be safe.. he's too old)

Alex..
I didn't have an option for the Lanc as it was a surprise for Christmas. It's OF-X L7576 and comes with one of those stands that kicks out search lights and flashes of bombs going off along with engine sounds and AA  Perhaps not the one I'd have chosen but I'm happy with it  I happened to comment at Christmas that I'd no idea where it was going to go so the old bird knew then what to get for my 50th. Very nice it is too made by one of my customers who's a carpenter by trade. Also (now) living in there are my baby Corgi Spitfire and Hurricane. Pity they're not the same scale but as you say.. they're out of the dust now
