Glacier Bay V2

Post by Angus Prune »

Glacier bay V2 by Holger Sandmann, Rainer Duda, Michael Eder, Scot Fraser, Manfred Herz, Jay Langham, Jon Patch, Larry Silsbee, and Jim Vile is up at AVSIM in the new files section.

There are 2 parts 56 & 86 MB which I am currently downloading at a breathtaking 8 KB/sec, only 3 hours to go........

Wanna race? I'm currently tearing it up at a supersonic 6 kb/s.

Looking forward to seeing how this scenery stacks up, though! I'm curious to see how well it'll mesh with some of the payware scenery I have installed.

20.1 and 12.9 - only 30mins to go, 52%...looking forward to this one.

been flying about now - awesome. I've got the same sort of detail in finland, but it took days for me to organise and compile - this takes seconds to install to truly wonderful effect! Lanclass is so tasty...

Finally got it dowloaded & setup. Quite nice. Well worth the trouble. The scenery is compatible with most of the popular freeware & payware add-ons out there. Quite a lot of 'bang for the buck'....particularly considering it's free!

I guess you won , I left it downloading and went to bed. Got it now though.

Possibly the best freeware package that will ever be released in dear old FS9 :crying: The only problem I have, is no textures for some of the vehicles, is it me, or did I miss something?

Heh Avsim must have been getting hammered as it took ages to download.
This has got to be the best freeware scenery package ever released.
I mean just look at the airports!

A fix for this has been posted on the Glacier Bay forum at FS Addon

http://forums.fsaddon.eu/viewtopic.php?p=861

You have to copy all the car*.bmp and truck*.bmp textures in \FSAddon\Alaska Glacier Bay scenery\texture to your main FS9 texture folder.
