Video Replica Spitfire K5054 landing incident

Post by Garry Russell »

Landing accident on Clive Du Cros Replica Spitfire K5054 on it's tenth flight.

Not too much damage and no one hurt

Don't know when it was taken but it looks some time ago

It took eleven years to build....the same as that model on another thread

This looks to be a later accident, but sounds like the same aircraft:

Sadly sounds as if this replica did not possess the qualities of the original :huf:

Toby

Based on name of owner and site of crash, the last entry on

http://www.militaryairshows.co.uk/spitmus.htm

confirms the registration.

So your AAIB link is correct.

Crashed in 1997

Edit: And while I was on YouTube I noticed that there was also the horrendous fatal crash of G-ALGT/RM689 :crying:

Wroughton "GWAD" 1994 - I remember it being in the static park with the bent prop a couple of days later...
