it's nice in many ways, but bad VC design means it's pretty useless to me
Using the 1024x1024 bitmap but only using the top half...why do that? why not cut the panel in half - fill the bitmap so it would all be twice the resolution? many, many aircraft i have are set out like that and you get the same nice refresh rate.
the tech of modelling this is fairly basic and seems like common sense - hopefully it can be included in the next update.

If you read all the C-46 threads on CalClassic, you will find that the presence of a VC at all was not going to happen initially because the Gmax file was too complex to compile.
So somehow a VC has been included for this release.
And remember that this project has been taken over by the people at CalClassic, so they had to live with various initial design limitations.
Personally I am just pleased that there is another C-46 to try.
And there was a thread entitled "Anyone want to help with a C-46?"

I don't understand people who criticise other peoples efforts that are ultimately provided for our enjoyment at no expense. :curse:
I think this is a beautiful looking model that deserves nothing but credit. Its place in my virtual hanger has been assured.
Well done to the team - an excellent job!
And as for the critics, if you can do better then lets see it. :huf:

Hi Hinch
You were talking about such things as fairly basic and common sense
That was a bit rude
But OK maybe you didn't mean it to sound like that
Why not contact them and offer assistance in such cases if you feel you know whats wrong and can help?
The people you criticise are vert experienced and respected members of FS.

it does make me think about the theories of the english language. I honestly can say i read through my first comment and it seems reasonable, yet if i think about it and read it a different way it seems harsh and pompus. I keep looking at it, but i hear my voice in my head in the tone i want to hear.
anyway, back to the topic.
i'm looking forward to this being developed, big chunky props are something i have an interest in and it's been bookmarked.
