alphasim's new gauges look brilliant, they've really some along. also are all those 3D switches functional?

has anyone got the Alphasim cutlass? that aircraft really interests me in their range. Like above, i'm most interested in the smoothness of the VC gauges. I think alphasim are another company who have got into the art of fitting everything onto one VC gauge map.

Hi...

I've been waiting for this one a long time too!
Finaly... FINALY a company that has the guts to release this classic beauty.
Until now I was sort of satisfied with the freeware DaSilva Harvard/Texan but with this Alpha Sim product, "I'm flying high".

The Harvard is my all time favorite, with the F-104 on a second and the F-84F on a third place.

So now the waiting is for all those repaint-wonderguys out there for a load of repaints.
Hope there will be some Dutch repaints as well.

Grtz. from a satisfied Alpha customer:

Thanks for all the kind comments on this one chaps, I'll pass them onto the chief.

The Harvard certainly is one of those make-or-break models. Get it right- lots of support, get it wrong... blindfolded at dawn.

Hi Dan..

Yes.. please do. I know he get's to hear when things aren't well received so it's only fair he's informed that we're all wagging happily here

Viper.. I wondered if you'd sniff this one out  Glad you're happy with it too

I purchased her last night and spent far too long infront of the screen. But IMHO (and I sincerely mean that), I'm not that impressed. There are a lot of things missing or incorrect. Its not for me to go on about what I think is right or wrong, as I'm just one opinion and I hope that it is a success for Alphasim.

I couldnt build a thing and the last thing they want is some grumpy old man, making things worse. If people are happy, than thats the main thing, isnt it?

Some of the repaints currently in production, look superb.

Best wishes to all,

Martin

Hi Martin

To be brutally honest.. I've not looked at it with your eyes and wouldn't be able to vouch for the accuracy of the package. It will never be anything more than a bit of fun for me.. a casual acquaintance if you like and as such, I'm happy with it.

It's always going to be difficult to pass something off on someone who's intimate with the subject and in that spirit.. your comments are welcome here  Not sure what Phil would say mind you!!

Thanks for your kind words.....I sincerely appreciate everything you say and whole heartily agree with you too. Perhaps deep down I'm expecting too much, being so involved with this classic aeroplane.

I've emailled Phil with my thoughts and think its best left until I hear from him before I ever place my findings here. I'm not saying I'm an expert on this type, its just my favourite aeroplane (must have fallen out of bed the wrong side when I was a child!) and for that after reading an email from the builder, believe that perhaps I was being a little bit too forward in going on and on without knowing the facts first.

Best wishes to all,

Martin

Help me, please!
I need to know if this T-6 is sold in two versions, one for FS9 and one for FSX, or just one?
I would like to buy the fs9 one and absolutely not the other and I'm unable to understand that form Alphasims' website.
I've to choice between the two version after payment or when?
