Canberra B.6 (mod) XH568

Post by nazca_steve »

Hello all,

I've knocked up an RAE scheme to represent the B.6 (mod) with long nose, using the Swedish TP.52 model that came out late last year. Give or take the odd aerial that shouldn't be there, it's fairly close to the actual long nose version. See what you think...if there's demand I'll put it up on Classic Files. Cheers all,

Steve

Cheers for the feedback, gents, I'll get this one up first and then see about WT333. These B.6 mod repaints are actually a fill-in before I start the next variant (T.4) set. Can't wait to get on them as I've been after that model for ages and there are plenty of schemes to do.

Very, very nice. Is that the one that's on the Hurn fire dump?

I'm not sure, but according to Les Bywaters' web site, it is preserved intact at Bruntingthorpe, but perhaps it has been moved to a fire dump...maybe some back in the UK can clarify. Let's hope it's still in one piece.

Cheers Rob, just read your PM and got it sorted (I hope). Let me know if this covers the instant validation deal.

XH568

Post by Beeayeate »

Steve
The Survivors pages index on my web site shows that XH568 was broken up at Bruntingthorpe during March 2006. The cockpit section plus some other 'bits' were bought by an American outfit - Air Platforms Inc - as 'spares' for their two revenue-earning Canberras, WT327 and XH567.

Hi Steve,

Sri for not posting earlier. Nice looking paint but I'm not sure about that shade of red. Could be my monitor of course
