we have decided to repaint Sqn Ldr Bob Iveson's GR3 (XZ988/34) as a Falklands anniversary issue. Does anybody have any photos of XZ988 from that time? The a/c was famously lost as the pilot made his now infamous third pass over Argentine positions.
Any information gratefully received, and will go towards a fitting first tribute.

Looks nice, can't see anything wrong with that. Any updated shots of the GR1, as you seem to have sorted the canopy line on this one?

Thanks

I'm not sure what state the one at Elvy is now in.. last time I look she had kit in the pit, but no instruments.

If you want I can enquire and then take some shots if need be.

The GR's looking great.

Dan, I'm looking at the GR3, without a 3view to go by but the nose and the position of the eyelids looks slightly too long (to scale I'd say about 9 inches).

Spent a lot of time on GR3's at Wittering on early 80's and it doesn't look right if you know what I mean. I may of course be talking complete *@~#$%ks.

GR3 is my favourite Harrier. I remember seeing the RAF Ad's in my Dads Sunday papers.... an airfield over Germany... how many Harriers can you see? And the photo was of a forrest. The other one had the GR3 unleasng a salvo of Rockets.... lovely work Dave.
