Hermes Problem...
Thought I had better mention this in case other people have a problem...I have Hermes at McLeland Field in the bay...Or rather I did have it there, but it turned out that there was some sort of "Rolling Flatten" in it that carved a chasm in the terrain for hundreds of miles (might even have gone all the way round the earth for all I know)...Anyway, it took a very long time to find what was making that ravine and I flew down in it for a couple of hundred miles one day...I thought it might be some sort of mesh problem. Anyway, I needed to get rid of it when I started Beta testing Glacier Bay v2 and the culprit turned out to be Hermes. I removed it and bingo...Chasm gone

kit, Albion is actually Hermes renamed so I could have 2 carriers in Manila bay, Hermes is I think still availiable from Dave Garwood's site, he did the original conversion on it. There is also a EZ version also by Dave I think, it can easily be moved by editing the XML file or with EZ scenery tool if you have it.
Now I have Ark Royal steaming in Manila Bay and Subic in the Philippines Albion will be retired.

Well my one was positioned in McLeland Field bay by DaveG and the chasm goes directly away from its port beam...So if the view from your Hermes port beam is just ocean then you would see no change. Besides, it may only apply to the one Dave did for meRich wrote:Odd one Peter I have Hermes and sister Albion in Manila Bay with no problems.

Hi Rich,Rich wrote:Peter as I said a odd one, difficult to think what could be causing it, I have 2 in Manila Bay one is about 500 yds from Sangley point airfield on it's starboard side, really odd but glad you fixed it and thanks for the warning of a potential problem.
Anything on its starboard side would not be affected...What is off its port side? Land or Ocean?
