I assume you mean pitot heat?.
The pitot heat,warms up a pipe outside the aircraft that operates using air pressure as the aircraft moves along,this pipe supplies information for airspeed, altimeters and other such instrumentation.If ice is allowed to form in the tube then it will cause inaccurate information to be displayed on the pilots instruments.
Thats the basics,Tonks should be able to provide a better answer if i missed anything.
Or is this a wah??

Pilot heats are one of three things:
1. When pilots get older, they, like most other people, get "heats", especially women get it around their 40'ies...
2. Small electrical heating elements usually inserted into the bottom of the pilot's seat. To ensure a ergonomic feeling of wellness on long flights.
3. Stewardesses....
