Bit the bullet and bought FSX!!!

Hi all,
After months of deliberating, cogitating and digesting finally went out and bought FSX! :redface:
Had a £30 Game card voucher saw that HMV were selling it for £54.95 so game price matched it from £59.99 - Had £2.50 on game card so got it for the pricely sum of £22.45 :-$
Loaded it up :
1. The original aircraft come up terrible!
2. Loaded on Ricks Chipmunk and Herald Work Great
3. Loaded on FFS Payware Saab 340 - Great
Must be honest only looking at it as eye candy at present but it has spurred me on to do repaints :shock: especially the FFS Saab 340 see Ar Lingus Commuter and other pics below:

How do you get the fps on screen?
Also my pc is not the newest. P2.66, AGP XFX5500 Nvidia 256mb card and 1GB Ram :shock:
Was flying from Edinburgh over Forth Bridges where the recent Sitings of Killer Whales was :k:

Frame rates are displayed the same way as in FS9 - hit Shift Z a couple of times.

In Options, Display Settings make sure that the global texture resolution is set to maximum. This is on the first tab, to the right of the screen resolution selection box.

It's the layer from the Paintkit. I keep it on as I Have still to finish first attempt at painting in a long time.

Had everything turned up and was getting 8fps :redface:
Will tweak with ultra high aircraft setting and less water etc.
Can you get rid of the awful houses but keep trees and terminal buildings or are they all related?
