Hi all,
Can anyone assist with regards to 00800 numbers. Are they the same as 0800 (ie free to call?). I am currently in the process of upgrading to VISTA via ACER's upgrade program and have had problems with the form as when it gets to the final page it crashes.
I am therefore trying to contact the call-centre which is based in Holland and it does'nt state on the details whether the call is free or not. And I don't fancy a BT bill for £254.78 next time around!
Tried Googling but not found a definate answer. Anyone assist?

Nothing on the BT site that I could find, but then it's always a nightmare trying to search their web site :roll:
All the other sites I looked state that 00800 is a Universal International Freephone Number. This site seems to explain it the best.

0800 numbers are only free in the UK otherwise they are premium rates.

I think they are free having done some more hunting around last night. I think staff at Bournmouth Airport are about to serve me with an ASBO so I'd better not contact them again!
