Zulu Kilo model...

Post by petermcleland »

My little diecast model of Trident 3 ZK arrived in the post today (105 of 600) and it is sitting in pride of place in my small collection of 1:400 scale models. I have to say that it is absolutely exquisite and easily the best of the bunch. I am amazed that they can get such fine lettering detail on such a tiny model. I will try to get a good shot of it with Nica's digital camera (hers is much finer than mine and has a good macro facility). The picture of the model that I saw in these forums does not do it justice and the real thing is wonderfully superior.

Just thought I would mention it in case any of you were wondering whether to splash out for this lovely little thing...It is a cracker and the proceeds go to a worthy cause...Go on, write your cheque! You won't regret it

Peter can you provide a link to where it is available?

Jim,

You can view this thread (but remember it is much better than the picture)

http://www.classicbritishaviation.org/

The thread is called "Gemini Jets 1:400th ZuluKilo"

Peter,

Having just looked at the Trident site, they have been trying to avoid the spambots picking up that e-mail address.

Hence it is given as [email protected] with instructions to remove the XXX.

Sorry Ian...I got that address directly from the email advising of the dispatch of my order...I will edit it out now and perhaps you would do the same.

Peter,

I put the XXX in to confuse the spambots like on the ZuluKilo site. So even if they collect that address, it will just go into a big black hole.

 Cheeky gits. I think we have a policy of limiting sales to two per person and they arent available through any other outlets although for a while several well known suppliers were taking orders (which they had no hope of processing!)

No he's selling a Hawker SYDNEY Trident registration GAWZA in 3 old colours

So just how much are these models? As far as I could see, the website is still giving a projected price which is more than that eBay price.

Edit:

Now I am confused - there seems to be several different versions being released - BEA red wings (ZN) and British Airways (ZA).

So ZK not on eBay?

£25 for our one + P&P or collect from MAN AVP. We are the sole sellers of ZK. All other Gemini models depict other Tridents. For that you get a ltd edition certificate signed by Captain A.J. Angus (who took delivery of ZK) and SteveS4SSL!

Toby

Thanks - I figured out that was probably the case and edited my previous post.
