Very nice! This scenery is the strongest reason in favour of getting FSX and a dedicated 120GB HDD to go with it... That and the alleged improvements to VC performance.
Are you using a 6DoF TrackIR? Or is there fancy head-lag in the FSX VCs?
Yes I'm using TrackIR, but you can also use the HAT switch on your joystick if available or hold down the space key and pan with your mouse. There is head latency built into the FSX as well by default.
I assumed that you were using a 6DoF TrackIR because the view is canted in the shot you show.
I find FS9 with the photo scenery to be quite frustrating - the textures don't update quickly enough. I'll fly, get frustrated that the ground I'm over now has blurred lo-res textures, pause and point the spot camera at the ground, wait for textures to load and then continue... is FSX improved in this regard (relative to FS9)?
Whay patches have been released? I registered with them and have heard nothing. I also want the night textures, that were promised on the box...and removed by them when the disc went gold

Hi Trev
apparantly there were issues with the master copy of the disc. Therefore when the discs were being pressed at the manufacturer all the bugs and issues were transferred to the general public. Which I guess makes us beta testers!
Not good.
However the technical support from the staff at Horizon has been second to none and most queries have been addressed very quickly.
The night textures are not ready yet. And neither is the landable water facility within the Mainland.
