Best wishes

Hi Mark and welcome to the Forum.

Don't be put off by some of the comments made by other members of this Forum Mark.

This is purely down to them being overly protective towards their own favourite aircraft and some will take great personal offence in seeing their Favourite Classic coming second in any poll!!

Could we add the option for multiple choices?

VC-10 for me. Seeing as I'm predominantly interested in military aviation, the VC-10 appeals to me as it's still in service with the RAF. Not to mention the fact that it's loud, smoky, and probably the best looking airliner ever made!

However, I'd still love to see Boscombe Down's BAC 1-11s, and I sure wouldn't mind seeing Canopus back in the air... if only! :-({|=

A320s? Pfft!

It was a close run thing between the Comet and the 748, but I went with the Comet in the end. I still remember seeing an RAF Transport Command 4C as a child in Singapore, and its that image that swung my vote. A superb model, but so is the 748.

Oh God! Is this poll still going on? What's it for?

Oh well, whatever the question was I'm sure that Vickers VC10 and/or Gold Speedbird is the right answer

Out of what choices were given, my choice is the VC-10. I just love the way she looks with full flaps and flared at touchdown.

But, I suppose if the choice was there, I'd have gone with the Bristol Britannia. I've always had a soft spot for the big propliners.
