Simplest way is to delete or rename Traffic035867.bgl (that might not be the exact filename), which normally lives in FS9\scenery\world\scenery. That file contains all the default traffic. If you want to bring back the default GA traffic, the simplest way is probably to go to ProjectAI and download their installer and "Install Default GA (with correct registrations)" pack.LongHaul wrote:Aha, I might barge in on Dave and Ian's party here, (if I may gents) as Ive being trying to find a way of getting shot of my default AI for ages. Id be very grateful if you could tell us how it's done!

Hmm, not that simple my dear friend, it really depends on your current setup.
Having it fresh from the box, you're almost correct. But most around here aren't satisfied with the default anyway..
So it is really a matter of doing some serious housecleaning before you get down to it.
But you are of course free to try it out your own way ...

Hmm? You can have multiple traffic.bgl files in FS9. So if you're adding new traffic, it makes sense to give it a name like traffic_BOAC70.bgl or traffic_FinlandGA.bgl. I know this because, last time, I put every flightplan into the default traffic036758.bgl and couldn't conveniently edit anything!
On my setup, I've removed the default traffic035768.bgl, added traffic_FS9GAdefault.bgl and several dozen traffic_airlinename.bgl files courtesy of PAI. As I find them I'll add other GA and airline traffics.
