Thanks for the HU, however on my card (1650 pro PCi), I lost about 5 FPS in FS9, with this version. This was a disaster, so I have reverted back to my old driver.

I've not had any luck in most games with this version, it doesn't seem to like my 9800XT at all.

If you've got an older card then don't use newer drivers. They are optimised for later cards whilst still providing support for the old gen.

I have to disagree, I always try the latest drivers and quite often they provide rather substantial performance increases on my older hardware. This is the first one that has been really show-stopping. I've no doubt the 7.2's will be better, the first set of the year always seems to be dissapointing.

There is a break point... new drivers are good to a point, but once your chipset goes end of life, they generally only add additional load and don't deliver any performance benefit. :wink:
