Nice shots Peter. That second one has something of an air of the M25 Slip Roads at rush hour!!

Marvellous shots of KSFO, Peter. What incredible scenery. The queue is nearly up to JFK standards. I once spent an hour in a queue like that only for the wind to change, taxi back to the other end of the runway and eventually have to return to the gate to top up fuel. No doubt you have been in the same situation yourself. Talk about boring

Thank you for adopting PB for this adventure and for sharing it in such exquisite detail. And, of course, thank you for choosing BOAC. We do take good care of you

Thanks for your comments Nigel and Ian...I've just been testing the user aircraft's ability to get a 15 ton load of FSCargo out of my base with full fuel...Very marginal but got some nice smokey pictures that I'll post later.

Ian...I can't seem to open the Cargo door here in FS9...The only keyboard allocation that I could find related to Concorde was the "Retract Nose & Visor" and this did not move the door...Any ideas?

Hi Peter. The control allocation in FS9 to open the cargo door is 'EXTEND concorde nose + visor fully'. To close it = 'RETRACT concorde nose +visor fully'.

I've seen shots of an HJG model with the rear hold door open as well, but that may have been a DC-8 as I haven't found a way of doing it on the 707. I'll post a question on the HJG forum to find out what else is available but I won't be back to you tonight as I'm working.

Excellent, thanks Ian...I must have missed that "EXTEND" allocation...I'll go back into that today and find it

Huh, that was very useful. I had never managed to get the cargo door on a 707 open either.

I could do with some advice on which tanks to load fuel into and the general scheme of fuel management in the 707...e.g. does one empty the centre tank first? Can one force the inner tanks to feed both engines on their own sides to get their contents down to the same as the outers and then go tank to engine? I'm slightly confused by the fact that the booster pumps do not seem to force anything...I presume because there are engine driven pumps as well. The manual says very little about fuel management.

Chris Trott or anyone got any advice on this subject? Thanks in advance

Peter - I'm sure Chris will have the answer when he drops by but another person is probably George Carty of HJG who designed the panel. There is a similar question awaiting his attention on their forum:
http://tonymadgehjg.proboards98.com/ind ... 1167851108.
I'll post your question over there where there are more Boeing specialists and see if anybody can help.

Glad you got the cargo door open as PB looked a bit unaccommodating with all those pallets waiting  The main exit uses the usual command (shift + e) and the lower hold doors also open but we're still waiting for somebody to tell us how!

Finally, Garry tells me that the 'fuselage patch' is a standard fitting on all but the earliest 707s. It is a door that is made of a different type of material than the aluminium which is why it stands out. It seems to stand out more on some a/c than others as I hadn't noticed it before. Thanks Garry.
