I feel a project coming on....

Post by Court Line Flyer »

Inspired by the book by Graziano Freschi, and by great British engineering, I've decided to build the BAC Three Eleven for FS2004. Don't hold your breath it'll be months before it'll be in the air, but I just wanted to check that a) no-one else is building it (unlikely, perhaps!), and b) whether anyone had access to a drawings or sketches which may save me having to use my best guess at designs and features?

Thanks!

Karl

I've got a three-view (not to good quality) and a small amount of data / info in a couple of books. I can get them scanned if you like.

That'd be great thanks. Which way would the doors have opened, what shape were the gear doors etc. are just two of a hundred questions I need to figure out. Guess a visit to Brooklands may be in order, too.

Is that from Project Cancelled Dave? If not, I've got some info as well!

"Project Cancelled" and "Stuck on the Drawing Board" by Richard Payne, Andy.

I'll have to get a friend to scan 'em as don't own a scanner any more. Be a couple of days if that's OK Karl

If you can get to Brooklands museum, they havea big thick manual on the aircraft, particularly the cockpit layout IIRC.

Thanks Karl, that would be 'Most Excellent'.

We may need a new category within CBFS, something along the lines of 'Classic British Concepts'.

Thanks again, and good luck with the project.

Regards

Kevin
