Questions

Post by stegs »

Just doing a bit of late night browsing of the forum whilst supping a rather nice malt and I thought I'd ask one or two questions about G-CBFS that have occured to me in the month or so of flying I've been doing since I joined.

Price of fuel at various airports? Who decides that? Is it Flynet or our CEO.

No Bristol Britannia and no Concorde? I would have thought both could be considered Classic Brits.

And how do you get your flynet signature to appear under a post? this is purely selfish because it's dead annoying to see all these guys with all these big hours and big mileages. I want to join in

All the best to all for the New Year

Regarding fuel: FlyNet

Regarding missing aircrafts: John might answer that. (the Concorde wasn't pure British....right?)

Regarding signatures:

Hi Steve,

Fuel prices are generated by the FlyNET database as and when airports are added. All VA's pay the same price for fuel at each of the airports.

No Bristol Britannia as we are still waiting for a suitable quality model for FS.

No Concorde until fare structures allow 'premium' fares to be chosen for certain aircraft types. All FlyNET fares are 'economy' fares and make the Concorde a big loss maker on FlyNET - it's been tried. Similarly exec jet operations are also in a similar position until realistic fares can be applied. It's on the 'wish list' at FlyNET.

The url for your signature as well as your signature is displayed at the bottom of your profile page at FlyNET. Use the url to attach a sig through your profile on CBFS forums. Your particular url is http://flynet.en-studios.de/signatures/CBF117.png by putting Image after the url it will display as your signature.

You can change your default sig pic aircraft through your profile page. If you make a flight booking then the sig pic aircraft will change to the booked type.

You have to do your sig like this (remove the spaces before 'http' and after 'png')

All sorted guys
Thanks for replies
These were just a few musings that came to mind. The whole idea of G-CBFS and flynet is excellent.
