E..Gads! No idea what's been happening with the post/thread matey as I've only been keeping a cursory eye on it (I don't have a FF stick so the detail doesn't concern me). I can't see any reason for it being fiddled with so fingers crossed it stays 'as-is'
DaveB, I am retired and have lots of time on my hands and have used it productvly disspeling lots of myths including AI making approaches but allways doing go arounds various answers have been offered including a inbuilt Fs terrain avoidance setup, another load of crap proved when i did my first Dhala Afcad. I followed A ai Beverly from Khormaksar to Dhala knowing Ai will go for the lowest runway designator and sure enough it made the aproach THROUGH a mountain side I had found much earlier in Fs 2000 that if the autothrottle section was not properly filled in the airfile the ai was allways set at 82% throttle and would never land since it was to fast. work on the auto throttle and all is ok, lands perfectly.
I have no desire to be a Guru but if what I find helps others that is ok by me. If anyone wants to claim it as something they have done Ok but I know I have helped in a better Fs
Degsy, You are wellcome glad it worked ok for you, not very well explained I am afraid.
Hopefully this FF unfixable MYTH will dissapear the fix was actualy posted in july 2005 I think.
The DG Hunter was the the first one I applied it to and I still use it
