LustyLindy.co.uk hacked!

Post by d0mokun »

Hi chaps,

This morning I awoke to a panic message on my mobile claiming that LustyLindy.co.uk had been hacked. Sure enough, after a trip over to our site, I found this on the front page:

Am I the only one that thinks that defacing any website, especially one for such a cause, is a really, really sad thing to do? Did the kiddies that did this (in order to seek fame with thier names on the front page) even know what the website was about? I don't understand some people.

I'm working on getting the site back online now.

Dan.

With their internet aliases, that is! I suppose it gives them notoriety in whatever geeky little group they have going.

Good luck in getting it back up and running, Dano. I'd go for a Victor over a chopper, anyday.

Perhaps they sought revenge after being caught 'trousers down' to an old, 50s aeroplane.

Are we supposed to know what LustyLindy is about - and even if it has been hacked what is supposed to be so opprobrious about the page displayed??

I'm pretty sure I've posted details about the site here before, and those interested in classic British aviation will know of XL231.

The site is the internet home of XL231: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1153270/L/

I'm working on getting it back up now.

Dan.

EDIT- luckily my backups are ok, and the site is back up. But please be vigilant.. and remember to make those backups regularly!

9 times out of ten these guys will only replace the front page.
Its those spotty little scrotes that completely trash the site that you want to watch!

Either way, they both deserve the heavy end of a sledge hammer.

Basically there are groups out there a little bit like this forum, where members compete to see how many sites they can hack into and mess up. Its not done for any particular reason and the site content doesnt seem to be important. IMHO they should be all betaken out, lined up and....... :-#
