Whatever happened to the -100, -200, -300, -400, -500, -600 and -700 series.
I find it unnerving that the manufacturer leaves these out.

I want to see the huge 900
Ever wonder why the wing looks oversized compared with the body?

Kevin, it MUST be seen to be entering the market as a 'mature' aircraft you see?!

Does anyone know the difference between an 841 and an 841 series?

I know there's engine differences but the GP7200 powered variant is a -861.

Im not sure we'll see the -900 for about 15 years to be honest. With A350XWB and then the replacement for the A320 they might not have the resources.

Cheers,
Andy M.

They called it the A380 missing the A360 and 370 because 8 symbolises the double deck fuselage. I guess the series being in the 800 follow on with that theme.

Sorry, my bad!

I meant the 841 and 842 veriants. That question now answered as being slightly defferent versions of the Trent 900.

Garry,

Last thing I heard was that there would never be an A360 because it sounds like its unreliable (doing a 360). And A370 because the 7 is associated with Boeing. I'm probably totally wrong though!

Cheers,
Andy M.
