I think (can't be 100% sure) that when I brought the 510 back from ORD, I did that flight at FL250 and I seemed to be in it rather than it be above or below me but.. I've been over much higher in the VC10's and still seemed to be in it
Thing is matey.. if you're happy with it, that's all that matters. I don't go up into that sort of area enough to be fussed either way. It's just nice to know my graphics card wasn't going t*t's up!!
Yes I agree Dave - but as I said for some reason the Alaska Northern Lights file does something to both Asv6 and FS weather that puts it at a reasonable altitude - I tried looking for it again this morning and couldnt get it to happen
But Ive never been either on top of it or in it....darnedifIknowwhy
Leif, if you have downloaded the program i mentioned, within the file is a note with all locations and airports that are the start points for the northern lights.
within five mins of flying you will come into the light. i think this program was designed for those who would like to see the lights without having to fly here there and everywere trying to find them.
might not be to everyones taste but it's only a tool to help improve the flightsim experience.
next photo could you do in the night as the colours are much better.
Actually it was totally concindental to the thread - Im ferrying a 737 from Munich to Miami for the VA Im attached to and that just happened and I snapped it - I get the Alaskan stuff all the time and yes it is spectacular at night
