Just been practising approach and landing at TNCM (Princess Juliana) and may have generated a few complaints from holidaymakers!

I think perhaps a little too low on this occasion..!

I have only every landed ther once in a Bahamasair One-Eleven

RRW I got there and the weather was awful

Low cloud rain but undetered I was going to make a good visual manual approach :worried:

In buffeting winds I held her firm..battled the glidescope.drifted here, drifted there but got the light back on que

Concentrating hard I approach the beach.......low, very low, but not too low.........perfect.

Over the piano keys hold her level and flare, down she went...infact she went down lower than I expected.

Just then I ralised I'd not put the wheels down

Fulll throttle.crunch tinkle tinkle :huf: too late

Speaking of which, I took this pic, cropped, sized, and formatted it into my current FS splashscreen.

Smashing shot that one. I like the way the rear underside is sea coloured and the front half is beech coloured

Garry, that's made me very happy to know that I am not the only one to suffer m-m--m-memory problems!!

Though honestly I think Vegas must have had his reasons for such a low approach!! :tuttut:
