I can concur with that Garry

As Memory serves seems most of BMAs aircraft the beacon was 3/4 of the way along the top of the fueslage - always struck me as being odd
after seeing Britannias and vanguards and such where it was at the mid point - dont know it that was a company modification or what but its one of those things that stick in your mind - rather like the pallett positions on a Britannia

The point I was trying to make was that the model has the beacon light on top the tail, it was on top the tail in the original aircraft.cfg and the update's aircraft.cfg , but has changed to the V800 location in the Aircraft Mods.cfg supplied with the 700v4 panel.

Further inspection of the 700v4 panel manual aircraft.cfg amendments section does not indicate that the torque should be increased from 6500 to 6600 and therefore I assume the 6600 in the aircraft mods.cfg file is an error same as the lights and views.

Now that I've installed the 802 and 810 panels here are a few more anomalies.

802v4 aircraft mods.cfg does not show the stby freq and gs indicators in the radios section. They are not highlighted in green in the panel manual either.

810v4 aircraft mods.cfg does not show the increased fuel capacities in the aux tanks. beta_max is shown as 87 but is shown in the manual as to be amended to 86. The props section of the manual says it should be 87 but all others are 86 and for feather as well.

Perhaps the gear system type could be amended to hydraulic, the engine map for the hydraulics amended to 0,1,1,0 the damaging speed for the flaps amended as it is currently 5 knots below max extension speed and the min throttle for gear warning increased to 25%.

Hi David,

With the benefit of hindsight, the inclusion of the mods file was not a very good idea, it is perhaps a better idea to simple adjust the highlighted areas in one's existing aircraft cfg. This model has been on the go for some time and various element smay have been mixed between versions.

I have only ever knowingly added ADF 2 to the radios section and not altered anything to do with standby fequencies or GS indicators. Nor have I adjusted the torque settings deliberately as the gauges are in effect little to do with the aircraft cfg numbers. The 86/87 feathering stop makes no difference to the model or how it flies. The 700/810 fuel quantity should be less than the increased capacity on the V802/806.

Cheers
