Victor goes East

Post by VEGAS »

Hi all,

Just taken the Victor for a high altitude sortie in the far east. She'd been in the hanger for some time and I'd almost forgotten just how nice she is.

Hi Eddie

That second pic with the bridge in the distance......that's very nice

Good scenery and a great feeling of distance and perspective

Well they're all nice, but that number two in particular caught my eye

Yes, fantastic shots, Eddie. Really nice. That bridge looks like the one from Lantau to Kowloon in Hong Kong. Yes?

That sun.......isn't that the one that goes from East to West during the daytime.? ......you may not be familiar with it in Manchester Eddie

On a more serious note re the Victor shape...can you imagine what that must have looked like when it first came out to a world that still thought of a typical bomber as something like a Lancaster or B-17.

They must have been in awe at the thing

Definately.

There's just something about the shape and stance of the Victor. Its in a league of its own and is IMHO bordering on perfection.Image
