Hi Matey

I needed to add some new liveries to the pack anyway as it's a bit dull without.

I will also ask UKMil if i can pinch his WP962 as thats one i kept forgetting to paint and it looks superb in other thread

Regards
Rick

Rick Piper wrote:Hi Guys

no idea if the wings had the reg on lower port & upper starbd but can change easy enough.

Here we go.
Used Tom Everitt's superb bare metal as a base after 2 hours of removing the insignia :crying:
not sure with the photo if there is also a powder blue mid line ?.
Peter will know

to be included in the new pack.

As a note old & other liveries will fit & just need _T added to the filename of the main texture but you no longer need to paint the ailerons & flaps seperately as they are now where they should be on the template.

Crikey... ...Yes Rick I think the mid line was Powder Blue...however, I just can't remember if the reg was on the wings, but I have a strong gut feeling that they were not.

How lovely...I look forward to flying her again

Rick,

Nice one

And if Peter hadn't mentioned G-APSB in answer to another question we would never have known the history.

Can't find any more photos though.

Rick Pipers new Chipmunk

Post by Tomliner »

Don't know too much about the technical nitty gritty of liveries and squadron markings etc. What I do know is that it was in a Chippie that a boy from a non affluent family on a council estate in Nottingham had his first flight at RAF Newton courtesey of the ATC.I will never forget it.From there did my my interest in aviation grow. That was nearly 50 years ago.Thank you so much Rick for your work,it brings back so many memories.Very Best Wishes EricT

Hi Guys

Powder blue added and detail regained by changing livery layer to multiply
so you can see the metal contours underneath.

Wing reg removed but small reg added to lower wing for now.

Peter, I will add it to the beta tomorrow as i need to twiddle the wing textures a little more yet :worried:

Regards
Rick

Chippie Floater

Post by viking3 »

Any chance we'll see the floater that a certain blonde was flaunting? I look forward to the project regardless after seeing Peter's screenshots.
