Looks like N896U (helps if you know what to expect).

Earlier view here: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0710534/L/

Similar view here: http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0241925/L/

Apparently the first Argosy, ex G-AOZZ of BEA

Edit:

Identity confirmed by

http://forum.keypublishing.co.uk/archiv ... 50327.html

and item 12 at http://www.ais.org/~schnars/aero/yaf-list.htm

Is it still there?

That is the first prototype in basic Universal livery

Just read the Key pub forum........a bunch of speculators who have no idea what they are talking about making a wild guess at everything....never a reliable source

Anyway the first prototype is still in existence and was wearing that name when it last flew.

Persevered at Willow Run

I very much doubt if it had been painted like that in the mid sixties but would have been in full Universal livery until the early seventies.

Throw three darts at the wall repeatedly until you get a bullesye

Still it's worth reading as it can throw up a pic....but reading and believing are two different things. :worried:

That's a series 100

The model is a 200

There are paints done for the unfinished series 100 model :worried: but that's not one of them as it is only Universal with bits painted out.
