Yes...I don't think there were any electrics but I note that the one I was using today had Nav Lights and a Radio so perhaps they stuck a generator on that Gypsy? All the instruments are suction driven from that venturi. I was also unable to make the Magneto switches move but I expect I was doing something wrong :think:jonesey2k wrote:There is no batteries with magnetos?
Hear, hear!petermcleland wrote:I have not yet done enough in this Tiger but I'm not happy with its flight dynamics. It is however, very pretty and that is a plus. I have to say that comparing it with Rick's Chipmunk, it comes second by a longish chalk. The Chippy has infinitely superior flight dynamics and really comes out top for looks as well in my opinion.
I'd very much like a copy if you do get around to it. Certainly from my (albeit limited) experience of a few joy rides in various small aircraft the roll characteristics on this seem odd to me.petermcleland wrote:One strong criticism of the Tiger Moth is that it has to be held into the turns with a clearly discernable chunk of aileron and this is the exact opposite of the real thing, which has the perfectly normal "Spiral Instability".
I will have to look deeper into it and see if I can change that characteristic, but it will have to wait till I have a bit of spare time as I'm trying to complete my Trident Traffic package
