One of those inspiring mornings that fill you with (misplaced) optimism for the future. Lovely sunrise, lovely shot.

Ah the rain.........

I've only been to Scotland once.

It was mid summer and the whole of the UK was experiencing a drought, that is the whole of the UK except Western Scotland..........the greedy lot were keeping all the rain to themselves. :huf:

Still it didn't rain everyday, some days we just had heavy drizzle.

Spectacular scenery though

I used to live in sight of the Isle of Arran. Local saying was if you couldn't see the Isle it was raining, if you could see it it was going to rain!

You're right about the scenery - I didn't realise how lucky I was until I left

Hi Colin

A couple of times the sun came out and it was really spectacular.

But was was really great is sometimes we would be in a shower and drive around the corner of a mountain and the Sun would be out that side and all the mixtures of light shade and tone was really magical

It's so called "bad" weather that gives all the beauty.

A sultry summer day can bet flat and hazy with no real definition in anything.

Lovely place....and TBH so pretty the getting wet i the rain did not matter.

There's a crashed Viking not far from where you lived.....
