FS 2004 still has some suprises for me

Post by bigred1970 »

I know that some of you are going to laugh at this but I didn't know that FS 2004 show the aurora borialas !!! I was taking off from Glasgow tonight and I saw this pulsing green glow. at first I thought it was some type of glow off the clouds from my landing lights but I noticed that it wasn't moving with them. took me a while to figure out that it was the northern lights.

are they just visible at certain latitudes all the time in FS or are they noted in the weather report and only generated when they are really visible from a location in real life.....

During an exercise at RAFvirtual, all we ever got to see where the Northern Lights! Fantastic effect, had me paying more attention to them than the MiG 29 coming up on my tail!

I was quite pleased to see them in FS over Finland, having made
an expedition to Iceland to see them some years back but the weather
was too mild.

Anyone know why this site keeps popping up invitations to enter
username and password for something called Flightbase2000.com every
time the page is refreshed? It clearly doesn't affect the forum, so what is
it?

John
