Remembrance Day

Post by Charlie Bravo »

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.
A bird in the hand will probably sh!t on your wrist.

I was in ASDA shopping when the two minute silence came........There were some standing with tears in their eyes including my dear wife.

They shall not be forgotten. For their sacrifice secured our freedom.
I used to be an optimist but with age I am now a grumpy old pessimist.

That was over Bedworth, just to the north of Coventry.

Tom.

I shall be doing my bit in the Toon tomorrow.

Just watching the Festival of Remebrance at the Royal Albert Hall. What a brilliant tribute to the sound of Elgar's "Nimrod" by the Queens Colour Sqn to the crew of XV230.
