Basle Mulhouse - LFSB

Post by DaveB »

Hi Troops..

I meant to post about this a few days ago but forgot. Anyway.. I took a Tri3 from LHR to Basle. Nothing very eventful about that but after I'd planned my return using FSNav.. an odd thing happened. The return was planned for the Northern runway so I zoomed in to a reasonable distance to grab the runway end with the mouse and what looked like a long runway suddenly became a short one.. stopping around where the cross runway met it. Zoom out and the runway became long.. zoom in and it suddenly halved

I thought nothing more about it until I started the client towit it reported that I was not at the departure airport!!! I closed the client and tried again and got the same message! :dunno: Before trying a third time, I zoomed in on the FSNav map until the runway halved in size then slewed the aircraft to the southern most tip and the client accepted that I was where I said I was :worried:

No idea what is causing this other than perhaps a rogue afcad for Basle being there but I've never physically added any afcad's for this area and the airport should be (looks it anyway) default M$. So.. if anyone gets the same, you now know what to do to get yourself out of the poo  As it was, I fired up the 4th engine (just in case) due to my seriously depleted takeoff run but she got off no problem

Hi John,

Rgr that. I've seen numerous flights there and no one has reported anything untoward but I thought it best to report it anyway. Odd sir.. very odd

I'll take a couple of screenies to illustrate my ramblings above
