hi gents

i saw the picture on another thread, ref the thorney island Andover...

soooo...whilst sat at home waiting to goto work...

i thought id give it a bash,
here is a working progress shot, any comments and suggestions welcome, as i aint 100% sure on colours and markings...ie door surrounds etc!!

I can upload the paintkit if you like ?.

it's very fiddly to paint round the rear fuselage extremities but you should be ok with that one.

That cammo is suppose to make the aircract blend in and change the shape

You can see it...........but that VC 10 looks just like an Andover :roll:

Must be some kind of 3D-image then. Like the ones where you're supposed to be sitting staring dumb into the far depth of the screen pretending you can see some kind of image, and suddenly come with an outburst: "YES! THERE IT IS...! IT'S FANTASTIC..." making all others envious... ;-)

Don't know if this was the pic on the other thread, but I was going to suggest this one sooner or later.

Only one example wore these colours; it was XS644. This pic is at Thorney, (in 46 sqn markings). I did have a small pic of it when it served with no. 51 (Nimrod) Sqn. in those colours, in which it had a bump on the underside, and was used, possibly, for training.
