Vixen - Back to the den

My best friend of 30 odd years (some very odd) was kind enough to send me the raw screenshot of something he did the other day... I thought he captured the angle of DeHavilland's mighty Sea Vixen really well. (on the shoulders of giants as they say)

So by way of making my comping skills better than they were (awful!) I thought I'd spend a little while practicing.

Kind regards and thanks to Glen (GMT59) again

Agree.. rather low but who cares.. what a cracking shot

Toby..
I think the 'small' de is neither here nor there mate tbh. I've quite a fair bit of genuine DH stuff here (as in DH originated) and it all has a big 'D' though earlier marking of aircraft clearly shows a small 'd'. It's probably something like Short Brothers/Shorts. At one point, they were 'Short This' and 'Short That' but moved to 'Shorts'. The family name is certainly de Havilland so it's a case of throw a handful of rice in the air and see how many come back down again

Fair enough, a good chunk of the people where I work (perhaps 1 in 4?) mispronounce the name of the company so I guess its not implausible!

Beautiful and atmospheric shot John

I'm afraid I'd have to go with the small 'd'...although I remember reading a tale of two countries that went to war because they had opposing ideas about which end an egg should be cracked....
