Canberra A.1 Prototype W.I.P.

Calling all Cranberry fans,
I thought I should let you know Paul Foster is still hard at work finishing his series of new Canberra models, and while he adds the final details, he kindly gave me his A.1 prototype model to paint and air test. While it is not 100% complete (details such as the solid rear canopy fairing to be removed hopefully), it is looking BEAUTIFUL and was a joy to fly.
Personally I like the rounded fin of the old original and am very glad Paul took the time to build it. W.I.P. shots below of a sunny day at Warton on Friday 13th May, 1949.
Feedback as usual appreciated. I will of course keep you up to date as to the release of all the new models. Cheers,
Steve

WOW - that's a stunner of a Canny. I'm already a fan. Will there be more versions of the Canberra?

If you can't say, I'll understand, but here's wishing it'll be the greatest.

Steve,
Excellent, I never thought I'd ever see a model of the 'A1'. Somehow it doesn't trip off the tounge quite so nicely as 'Canberra', does it?
Is he planning on doing ALL the versions? That's a mammoth task if ever I saw one.

Hello lads,
well I'm glad the A.1 is being received well - yes I agree it is pretty amazing that we've got a model in the works for it as it isn't particularly well know compared to the final production variants that followed.
I don't think Paul minds if let you know what he has in store (this'll whet your lips!) - a mammoth task indeed.
Models:
first prototype. 2 models (clean, fuel)
B(I).6 4 models (clean, fuel, bombs, gun pack)
B.2 2 models (clean, fuel)
B.6 2 models (clean, fuel)
T.4 4 models (RAF/SAAF) (clean, fuel)
PR.3 2 models (clean, fuel)
PR.9 2 models (clean, fuel)
PR.7 2 models (clean, fuel)
T.22 1 model
I heard from him a week or two ago and he said he was putting the final touches on them, so release should be soon. He did give me the final T.4 model which I have tweaked my previous repaints to work with (see new post in repaint hangar) which looks good. I can't wait for the release as I have only seen the T.4, A.1 and T.22 so far.
Cheers,
Steve

Thanks for the update Steve. Sounds like a huge project. If Paul's Vulcan B2 is something to go by, this Canberra project will produce wonders. Can't wait because it sounds really exciting. And I will try to find a good sound for the Canberra RR Avons.

Can't wait!
Currently got every repaint on Steve's site for the (soon to be) old Canberras, but it'll be nice to start fresh with a new set of models.

Credit goes to Paul for making the tweaks - he has probably felt like killing me sometimes when I pester him for a change or a whole new variant, but he pulls it off everytime and has made some superb models and animations here. Even the flare bay on the T.22 has been faithfully reproduced. But yes, the A.1 is looking very good now she's finished.
Best,
Steve
p.s. Tweek - here we go again!

Maybe a bit cheeky to ask, answer at your discretion Steve, but will the Canny's be released together as a set or will we be seeing the A.1 shortly?
