Great pictures! Did you get control reversal, or whatever its called, like in the film ?

By the way, Peter, what screen resolution are you running at ?

Controls remained normal but I didn't move them much till the denser air at lower altitude brought the Mach number down again. BTW a clean Venom in real life had exactly the same terminal velocity from 50,000 feet but no control whatever till lower altitude brought the Mach number back below Mach 0.86. Only then could recovery be commenced

My screen resolution in FS9 is 1600x1200x32.

do you have the realism settings to detect aircraft stress?
just wondering...
I fly with all realism to 100%
crash detection and all...except stress to AC
and of course the G effects . ( I really dislike the red )
as you can imagine ... with my flying I'd be restarting
every other turn or climb...

No, I have the stress damage switched off and I also have the G effects off...I would never get any of my aerobatics completed otherwise. I wore a G suit for all my real life displays, but of course it would not help for negative G and I just used feel and the odd glance at the G meter to control that. I certainly never allowed any red out as it is extremely dangerous

but keeping the crash on gives me a bit more incentive not to
run it myself into something

that little ride up in the Starduster the other weekend was
a little eye popper for me tooling around in ... up and down in the little put puter ( it did remind me of the airboat though :dance: )

I met a pilot after we had put Al's/ Bob's plane away that flies a helicopter and Sporty little bi plane / stunt machine (don;t recall the make )
But I seen that dude flying around the airport earlier in the day

Ain't no way in hell Id go up in that plane with him,, He'd make me punk my guts out and think it would be a rather fun thing to do. :k:
but the helo ride I can deal with that ...
so I'll soon be posting some pics of that ride if lucks on my side

Al the guy who built the Stolp .
I gave him His first ride in FS 2000
I had told him about it and he was interested so...
I hooked him up with my copy of FS2K since he has a slower machine,, and my Logitech joystick I had in the closet
He really enjoyed it
In fact I bet he's playing around right now :think:
