One Eleven fuel

Does anyone know how is the best (correct) way to load the 1-11 with fuel? I mean, should I have the wings tanks full before load the center tank (like Boeings) or just distribute equaly?

Other question. Does anyone have some tip to plan the required fuel for a leg? How you guys are planning you fuel load for the One Eleven?

Hi Bachian,

It's very much your choice whether you want to load all three tanks equally however, as a general rule just refuel the wing tanks leaving the centre one empty unlesss of course you are planning a longer flight.

Find a route with a similar distance and time and use that, or find the average fuel-consumption per hour and add "a bit" for diverting, taxi etc. You should then be OK.

The only suggestion that I can give would be to look at the fuel burn per hour for the 1-11 in the CBFS Route Enquiry, there it will have listed the average amount of fuel used per hour during the cruise which will give some idea how much will be consumed, from there you will have to add extra for taxying, take-off and climb but do not use max power settings all the way to your cruising altitude as that will only increase your fuel consumption (and wear out the engines), then add extra fuel for diversion or go around.

It really depends on which mark and how you fly it.
The average fuel flow over the past year with the CBFS va is...
BA11 200 = 2391 kg/h
BA11 400 = 2419 kg/h
BA11 500 = 2653 kg/h

These are for all flights though and cover long and short routes.
The amounts above per hour + 2000 kg should just about see you right.
Fill the wing tanks & only use the centre tank if needed.
