Thanks Garry!
Yeah.. AA is one thing I can't seem to get to.. well, work!
It seems to work fine in things like STALKER and C&C3 but not FSX. I know my card can handle it so.. humm.
Maybe it'll be better with the recent stuff I've installed so I'll go and double check!
Thanks again.

Hi Dan I have only FS.9 but I have to keep changing.
At the moment it's on at the card and soon if will fail and the card will have no effect so I wil put it on in the game.
After a while that will fail and have no affect and then it will work back on the card. :k:
I don't know why this should be and it makes no sense to me...but that is what is happening.
So basically when I see the jaggies..... I move to the other

Hi Dan
I have the same problem with AA & FSX.
was ok till the 7 series Catalyst drivers for my ATI came out.
works fine otherwise.
Even did a clean XP install on another drive and that has no AA in FSX either so it's the Cat drivers for me.
Might be another FSX bug
AA works fine in FS9 and all other games.
Regards
Rick

Now is this weird or what..
AA /was/ enabled. So.. as you suggested Garry.. I moved to the other side and disabled it.
Guess what!
Nice lines.. AA is clearly /on/ even though it's /off/ on the settings lol. My nVidia stuff is set to app choice so it can't be that overriding it.
Anyhow.. I'll log it on msconnect.
Regarding the Whirlybird!
Phil has also built a nice VC and has had a top notch sound set built. All in all it's a really nice package and a good companion to a certain really nice Wessex!

Thanks Dan, it does not look quite up to the Apache standard, but I much prefer the subject matter here! The model looks a little too 'clean' overall.
It looks as if I will have to carry out my 'helmet mod' again, those modern US helmets do not look right to me on the RN versions. Now, when she come out, can somebody paint me a yellow RAF one please!

For any of you on ATI who are experiencing the AA on/off bug, it is a problem with the Catalyst Control Centre. If you download the drivers that use the Control Panel (CP) rather than the newer Catalyst Control Centre (CCC) from here (newest is 7.3)
http://www.ngohq.com/home.php?page=File ... _cat_id=18
then it should clear up the problems.
NGOHQ usually posts new drivers with the older CP almost as soon as the official ones are released by ATI.
Edit : Make sure you remove your old drivers properly first! Add/remove programs and use the ATI uninstaller, reboot into safe mode, run a driver cleaning program, reboot into standard mode, cancel the automatic Windows driver installation and install the latest drivers manually.

I had the problem with both FS9 and FSX and it cleared both of them up. I noticed it was a problem with CCC because when I fired up FS and alt-tabbed into CCC to check my settings when I tabbed back in AA was enabled, then it would drop off again a few minutes later.
Besides, CCC is a nasty piece of bloatware anyway, much better to reclaim a bit of memory and get rid of it.
