Duxford visit

Hi all

Popped down to Duxford this afternoon to try out my new lens.
As there was little going on in the way of flying, I spent most of my time in the new Airspace hangar.
I did manage to get a few shots of the Hastings, despite it being in the very dimly lit conservation area. These were handheld at about 1/3 sec so not the sharpest (VR facility of the new lens helps).

Here are a few pics

Great photos Kevin, far better than my offerings from within the Air Space building.

Great stuff Kevin, I never tire of seeing Duxford. Your in flight pics of the Dragon Rapide are great, certainly far better than the shots I took of Spitfire MJ627 and the Taylor Titch flying at East Kirkby today. I and my camera (Fuji FinePix S7000) really don’t seem up to the job of taking in flight shots.

Great shots there Kevin.
Might head down there in May during my week off.

That Victor needs a wash / repaint though!

Cheers,

Fantastic shots, sir, well done and some great angles and lighting. Look forward to seeing some more soon! I see the poor victor is looking a bit worse for wear still.

Thanks for the kind words everyone.
Paul, your indoor shots are better than you think.
I always shoot in RAW not JPEG mode, as this allows me to alter exposure settings with my PC.
Did you know that the Harrier is not suspended from the ceiling - they just leave the RR Pegasus on flight idle
The Victor, One-Eleven and Shakleton are all in a very poor state, with the Trident and VC-10 not far behind.
Hope they make lots of use of their 'conservation area'.

Cheers

I think the problem with things like the Viccy is that they are not owned by Dux, thus, Dux volunteers etc cannot work on them freely.

Roger stopped working on the Dux Viccy a while back.. but I think (THINK) it was in pretty good ish nic.. until they started making excuses regarding this and that, and thus.. it's not worked on any more.
