FSX Crashing all the time!

Afternoon all!

As the thread title says, FSX is crashing ALL that time. I can't even get into the thing to look at settings etc.
As soon as I load it, the screen for free flight appears then about a second later, I get a CTD! :brick:

I tried re-installing but no luck!
I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium and FSX Deluxe.
My system is;

Asrock Conroe E-SATA II Motherboard
Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 2.66GHz
4Gb Kingston 667 RAM
ATi Radeon X1950Pro 256Mb graphics
320Gb Western Digital HDD

All drivers etc are upto date.

Any help would really be appreciated!

Cheers,

Has it only just started happening?
Have you tried deleting the fsx.cfg?

Dave,
Started happening since I upgraded the PC and to Vista.

How would I find and thus delete this FSX.cfg?

Cheers,

In Windows XP, the FSX.cfg can be found in:
C:\Documents and Settings\yourusername\Application Data\Microsoft\FSX

The application data folder is normally hidden, so you'll have to enable show hidden files to see it.

Don't use Vista so I can't say if it's the same :dunno:

Ok Deleted the CFG, restarted and got into the sim.
Loaded a free flight and all was ok until I tried to change aircraft.
Then I got the CTD again!

Andy, did you do an in place upgrade or a clean install of Vista?

It was a clean install Ben.
I just can't figure out why it's doing it!

Are you getting as far as the flight selection screen? It sounds like a driver issue to be honnest. I've had FSX on Vista since December and its been fine.

What graphics card / driver are you using?
